This full-time role is essential in supporting our commercial sales division by overseeing the loan syndication origination and amendment processes from inception to completion, ensuring precision in underwriting and the smooth execution of multi-bank transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate deal origination by creating pitch materials that include analyses of capital structures, credit profiles, publicly accessible data on companies and transactions, as well as industry research.
  • Compile market comparables, initial due diligence lists, deal pre-screen presentations, and draft indicative term sheets.
  • Assist in the execution of lead-arranged transactions by preparing marketing documents (Confidential Information Memorandums, lender presentations), coordinating bank meetings, aiding in the negotiation of legal documentation, and supporting the closing process.
  • Collaborate with banker coverage and other stakeholders to coordinate and execute transactions effectively while adhering to deal timelines.
  • Enhance business and credit judgment while providing balanced evaluations in collaboration with internal team members and partners.
  • Help maintain and update the department's pipeline.
  • Oversee the collection and entry of comparative transaction data into an existing database.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A degree in Business with a focus on Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Completion of two accounting courses and one course in finance, economics, or related business subjects.
  • Experience in preparing financial models and forecasts is preferred.
  • Completion of a formal credit training program.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in banking is required.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to quickly understand complex information.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other productivity applications, including the capability to construct financial models in Excel.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong time management abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple assignments.
