Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Select Medical's Critical Illness Recovery Hospital in Erie. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting healing and recovery in a compassionate environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized care to critically ill patients, including bathing, oral hygiene, and hair care.
  • Respond promptly to patient needs and perform services in a timely manner to enhance patient well-being.
  • Participate in hourly rounds to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed, assisting transporters with patient movement.
  • Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment, including bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
  • Keep patient rooms clean and organized, including making beds.
  • Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience (3+ years).
  • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or actively enrolled nursing student.
