Position Overview:

We are seeking a Lead IT Risk Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is designed for remote work, with a preference for candidates located in the Pacific Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's IT security and risk management initiatives, ensuring high standards of security and risk evaluation.
  • Facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements while designing the IT framework based on industry best practices to ensure optimal security and risk mitigation.
  • Develop, monitor, and assess controls for their effectiveness in mitigating identified risk areas.
  • Prepare comprehensive Risk Assessment reports and communicate findings to senior leadership.
  • Review necessary regulatory documentation to ensure adherence to corporate standards.
  • Lead the execution of the established Risk & Controls strategy using designated tools and templates.
  • Identify and integrate risk control measures within information systems modules.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to pinpoint key controls and coordinate measurement efforts for process enhancements.
  • Guide the design of compliance within the IT environment in alignment with industry standards.
  • Evaluate internal controls against established security best practices.

Performance Expectations:

  • Foster successful partnerships with Control Owners.
  • Communicate control requirements effectively and assess compliance positions for key controls.

First Day Expectations:

  • Participate in team meetings and review materials related to processes and controls.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in IT Security, Internal/External Auditing, or Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of IT Control Ownership.
  • Experience with Big 4 firms is advantageous.
  • Expertise in Enterprise Privacy, Security, and Governance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Required Certifications:

  • CISA or CISSP certification is mandatory.
