Grove Bay Hospitality Group is currently seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to contribute to our esteemed kitchen operations. This role involves meticulous planning, preparation, and execution of high-quality food production in alignment with our restaurant's standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and present menu items and specials while adhering to departmental quality standards and recipes.
- Sanitation and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and kitchen equipment, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Sous Chef to discuss daily assignments, anticipated business levels, and any necessary adjustments.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and inform the Sous Chef of any shortages or supplies needed for efficient operations.
- Team Support: Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
- Culinary degree preferred.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in a similar role within a high-quality dining establishment.
- Food handling certification required.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Basic mathematical skills for recipe adjustments.
- Sanitation certification is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
