Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a Per Diem Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in various Texas surgery centers, including Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing procedures in a surgery center setting.
  • Assist physicians during procedures, maintaining a sterile technique and adhering to facility policies and procedures.
  • Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures, identifying and communicating any issues to facility management.
  • Administer medications and IV moderate sedation to patients as directed by physicians.
  • Perform point-of-care laboratory testing and IV insertion as needed.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, including monthly reports and meetings.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a surgery center or vascular access setting.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and related software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with medical database software and cardiac rhythm recognition.
