Role Summary

This position operates within a dynamic production setting, specifically an automated Central Fill Pharmacy. Each prescription is packaged in bags after accuracy is confirmed.

Reporting Structure

This role reports to: GVP, Pharmacy Services; Pharmacists of the Fulfillment Center; Packing Supervisors

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately places prescription containers into bags for delivery to patients or retail pharmacies, following verification by a pharmacist
  • Operates various stations including auto-baggers, manual packing, and bulk handling
  • Collaborates with team members to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain a positive work atmosphere
  • Prepares documentation and organizes medications for delivery orders and mail-outs
  • Upholds strict compliance with department and company standards regarding personal hygiene and attire
  • Ensures pharmacy supplies are adequately stocked
  • Follows company policies and procedures diligently
  • Reports to work as scheduled and punctually

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance in other areas of the Fulfillment Center as required
  • Undertakes other job-related tasks and special projects as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

  • Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions; capable of handling several concrete variables

  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations
  • Capability to interpret computer-generated displays

Educational Background

A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Physical Demands

  • Visual requirements include the ability to see at 20 inches or less, with or without correction, along with field of vision and color perception.
  • Must be capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force consistently to move objects.
  • Should be able to perform physical activities such as reaching, twisting, rotating, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Work Environment

This role is subject to daily exposure to noise. It is situated in a fast-paced work environment, combining office and warehouse settings with considerable pressure.

Equipment Utilized

Operates high-volume robotic solutions and associated software.

Interactions

Engages with suppliers/vendors monthly, as well as office staff and department leaders.

Confidentiality Assurance

Maintains the confidentiality of customer medical information in compliance with the HIPAA Act.
