Job Title: PT Film/Television/Video Instructor

Foothill-De Anza Community College District is seeking a part-time instructor to teach film studies courses, including Introduction to Film, Film Genres, National Cinemas, and Film Artists, as well as Scriptwriting. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching video production and video editing using Final Cut Pro.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach a variety of film studies courses, including introductory and advanced levels.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the district's standards and goals.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback.
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Mastery of film studies and video production techniques.
  • Experience teaching film studies courses, preferably at the community college level.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
