Cardiovascular Intervention Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at UofL Health is in search of a board-certified or board-eligible cardiovascular intervention specialist to enhance our esteemed program. We are looking for clinicians who are dedicated to both exceptional patient care and the education of residents and fellows, with a keen interest in clinical or translational research. A competitive compensation package, including a productivity bonus, is available along with a comprehensive recruitment offer.

The ideal candidate will possess clinical expertise in coronary and/or peripheral interventions. There may also be opportunities for involvement in structural interventions and the PERT program for the right individual. Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements for licensure in Kentucky.

UofL Health's Cardiology division boasts a strong academic environment with specialists across all cardiology subspecialties, including electrophysiology, interventional and structural cardiology, heart failure, mechanical device support, ECMO, complex cardiac surgery, cardio-oncology, preventive cardiology, and advanced imaging techniques. We also offer specialized programs focusing on infiltrative cardiomyopathy, women's heart health, and a dedicated Lipid Clinic.

We encourage research initiatives, and candidates will be expected to build an academic portfolio and develop an area of expertise. There are excellent collaborative research opportunities available with our state-of-the-art facilities at the Institute of Molecular Cardiology and the Center for Cardiometabolic Science. Education of fellows and residents is a key aspect of this role, with opportunities for academic advancement and leadership in various committees based on interest and performance.
