Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Consultant to join our team at Southern Veterinary Partners. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing expert medical guidance and support to our veterinarians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide written and phone consultations to veterinarians on complex cases, offering expert medical guidance and support.
  • Develop and deliver continuing education content to veterinarians, enhancing their knowledge and confidence in treating patients.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Document patient recommendations, diagnosis, treatment, and other relevant information in our consult system.
  • Provide exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with veterinarians, staff, and clients.
Requirements
  • Current licensure in at least one U.S. state.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Extensive clinical experience working as a clinician in an Internal Medicine Service or Academic Institution.
  • Federal DEA certification and medical specialty license or certification.
  • Ability to navigate technology, EMR, and consult software.
