WIC Peer Counselor

Job Summary:

Nevada Health Centers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate WIC Peer Counselor to join our team. As a WIC Peer Counselor, you will provide essential breastfeeding information and support to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Provide basic breastfeeding information and encouragement to WIC clients
• Support and empower pregnant and breastfeeding mothers to make informed decisions about their health
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and other WIC staff to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful breastfeeding experience of at least six months
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
