Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team at Pillen Family Farms. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely and timely delivering weaned pigs to designated locations across the region.

Pillen Family Farms is a family-owned business located in Nebraska, with a strong focus on animal welfare and biosecurity. As a transportation specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our animals during transport.

• You will be responsible for loading and unloading pigs from company-provided trucks and trailers, adhering to strict animal handling and biosecurity protocols.
• With a clean driving record and flexible schedule, you will navigate challenging winter road conditions and long distances between stops.
• Our local routes allow for regular home time, and you will work closely with our team members to ensure smooth deliveries.
• This is a non-touch role, meaning you will not have direct contact with the animals or equipment.

Requirements:

• A valid Class A CDL and Motor Vehicle Record Report.
• Experience driving fifth-wheel trailers preferred.
• Ability to walk, stand, squat, kneel, climb, and use hands/tools to assist when required.
• Attention to detail and a focus on working safely.
• Compliance with all bio-security, safety, and animal welfare policies.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
