Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a highly skilled travel nurse RN to join their team in Yakima, Washington. As a Medical Surgical RN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and experienced RN who can work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
Responsibilities- Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
- Educates patients on surgical procedures.
- Participates in discharge planning and initiates patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
- BLS certification
- 1 year of recent acute care experience
