Shift Details: Days / 7a-7:30p, 12x3, 36 hours per week, Fri-Sun

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Qualifications:
  • Valid WV License
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • BLS Certification
  • Certification with corresponding sub-certification required
Additional Information:
  • First-time travelers may not find this facility suitable unless they are well-acquainted with a high-traffic Department and Trauma Center
  • Total Staffed Beds: 330
  • Charting System: Cerner
  • Scrub Color: Black Scrubs (alternative: Cabell T-Shirt) - Must change into provided Surgery scrubs when reporting to Surgery
  • No Floating Required
  • 50 Mile Radius Rule applies
Job Responsibilities:

- Work independently in Surgery with C-Arms and Portables, as well as within the Department for TRAUMA, particularly in a busy Emergency Room setting.

- Candidates should consider the facility's bed count as not indicative of the volume and expertise required to succeed in this environment.

- Experience in a Pediatric Hospital setting is beneficial, as it raises the level of expertise needed.

- Surgical procedures continue beyond day shifts, often requiring multiple staff members to manage the workload effectively.

- Experience in a burn unit and busy ICU is advantageous.

- Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care, Major Teaching Hospital; member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH). Level II Trauma Center.

- Total Staffed Beds: 330

- Scrub Color: Black Scrubs (alternative: Cabell T-Shirt) - Must change into provided Surgery scrubs when reporting to Surgery
