Medical Director Opportunity in Southern North Carolina

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team at a 100-bed community hospital in Southern North Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
About the OpportunityThis is a locum tenens position, requiring mostly weekend call coverage with a shift from Friday 5pm to Monday 8am. The Pediatric Hospitalist will be involved in nursery rounds, inpatient calls and rounds, ER calls, new admission and discharge, circumcision, and other pediatric procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care to infants, children, and adolescents in the hospital setting
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, pediatric nurses, ER doctors, and OB doctors
- Collaborate with the medical director and other healthcare leaders to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and a passion for pediatric medicine are essential qualities for this role.
RequirementsTo be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- An active North Carolina medical license
- A DEA certification
