Job Summary

Cole Engineering Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Software Design Engineer 3 to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing the next generation collective training software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software simulations of vehicle systems, integration of game engine technologies, and web development of support applications for training systems.
  • Develop software using C, C++, or Java for simulation components and WebGL, REST API, and other web technologies for support applications.
  • Work in an Agile DEVSECOPS development environment, adhering to robust technical specifications and collaborating with team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry software development standards and related Department of Defense software systems.

Requirements:

  • Five (5) years' experience designing and developing software modules for integration into large-scale simulation systems.
  • Constructive simulation technologies and methodologies, along with hardware interfaces for virtual synthetic environments.
  • Competence in software analysis and design, performance analysis, configuration, and code management.
  • Experience with simulation system software like CCTT, OneSAF, VBS, and Unity is a plus.
  • Agile development experience in a DEVSECOPS environment is an advantage.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, or software engineering from an accredited college or university.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
  • Some travel may be required, to include between facilities in Orlando and Port Orange, FL.
  • This is an in-office position with ability for remote work as required and approved.
