We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Riverside Health System.
About the RoleAs a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will work under the supervision of the office manager, RN or clinical lead, and the physicians to provide total nursing care to assigned patients. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as supervising and delegating non-professional personnel as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately complete all required clinical documentation per RHS standards.
- Maintain accurate and legible documentation for quality assurance, including point of care testing, medication logs, and annual wellness visits.
- Work with providers to address care gaps and ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Provide patient education and teach patients about their medications as needed.
- Ensure proper reimbursement from insurance companies by performing pre-authorization for prescription drugs, procedures, and patient tests.
- Demonstrate the ability to build trusting collaborative relationships with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care needs.
- Licensed Practical Nurse/Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
- 1-3 years Nursing experience (Required)
- Licenses and Certifications: Licensed Practical Nurse/Certified Medical Assistant - DHP Health Professional Data Services (Required), CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
