We are seeking a skilled mobile mechanic to become part of our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical expertise with vehicles such as cars, trucks, or forklifts, with a strong preference for those familiar with forklift operations. Following a training period, the selected applicant will be equipped with a service vehicle to travel to client locations for the repair of forklifts, pallet jacks, and similar equipment. Additional support will include a gas card, mobile phone, and tablet for work-related communications and travel. This position allows for flexibility, as the technician can commence their workday directly from home, heading to the first service call without the need to report to a central office. Proficiency with technology is advantageous, as all hours worked and tasks performed will be documented via a tablet. We are a family-owned business with over 35 years of experience, offering competitive compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct mobile repairs in the field
- Perform maintenance on equipment in accordance with industry and company standards
- Complete necessary documentation, including work orders
- Maintain a tidy and organized work area
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations
- Execute additional tasks as assigned to support the service and repair department
- Ensure safety protocols are followed for employees, customers, the public, and the environment
- A minimum of one year of mechanical experience
- A collaborative team player with a commitment to customer service
- Self-driven and professional demeanor
- Must possess personal tools (the employer is willing to assist with some tool expenses through a tool allowance)
- Valid driver's license is required
