Role Summary

The Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist operates under minimal supervision from the Radiology Manager, focusing on the unique requirements of patients undergoing interventional angiography. This role involves direct patient interaction, including essential monitoring, assisting physicians during invasive imaging procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care tailored to the specific needs of individuals undergoing cardiovascular imaging.
  • Assist in the execution of invasive radiographic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with the Patient Care Team to achieve defined patient outcomes as outlined in care plans.
  • Serve a diverse patient demographic, from adolescents to geriatric individuals.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited radiology educational program. Registration with the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists and licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist in the state is mandatory. Current ACLS certification is preferred, while BLS certification must be obtained prior to engaging in direct patient care.
