We are seeking an accomplished Registered Nurse to join our team at SUNY Upstate Medical University. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position, working days from Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm. The selected candidate will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

About the Position:

This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing and evaluating patient care. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also be responsible for supervising licensed practical nurses, ancillary staff, and students assigned to the unit.

Estimated salary: $95,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  2. Implement and evaluate patient care, making adjustments as needed
  3. Supervise licensed practical nurses, ancillary staff, and students assigned to the unit
  4. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Qualifications:
  • Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
