Employee Absence Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Leave Management Specialist to join our team at DAIKIN COMFORT TECHNOLOGIES MFG LP. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of employee leave, including interpreting and administering leave programs and policies, coordinating with HR service centers and payroll, and ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and administer leave programs and policies in accordance with federal and state employment laws, ensuring compliance with regulations such as FMLA, STD, LTD, ADA, and USERRA.
- Assist employees with leave of absence requests and guide them through the process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of medical documentation.
- Independently approve and/or deny leave cases based on relevant medical information, coordinating with HR managers and ensuring HIPAA and employee privacy guidelines are followed.
- Manage all administrative aspects of leave, including tracking hours used/taken, working closely with HR service centers and payroll to ensure accurate and timely payment.
- Communicate effectively with employees, managers, and HR teams to ensure seamless leave management processes.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to provide information and support for employment decisions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Produce and manage reporting metrics and analytics for all leave cases, providing insights for process improvements.
- Stay up-to-date on FMLA legislative compliance and ensure company policies and procedures are aligned with changing regulations.
- Four years' experience in Human Resources, with a focus on leave management and compliance.
- Four years' experience in managing leave cases, including FMLA.
- Associate's Degree in a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and HR teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and policies.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and HRIS systems.
