Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Non-Destructive Testing Technician to join our team at Total Aerospace Services. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity and reliability of aerospace components through advanced testing methodologies.
As an NDT Technician, you will be responsible for performing critical evaluations on turbine engines and their components utilizing Liquid Penetrant and Magnetic Particle testing techniques. You will work under the guidance of the Quality Systems Director, focusing on identifying structural anomalies and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute non-destructive testing procedures to detect defects such as porosity, cracks, and other imperfections in various materials.
- Conduct thorough inspections of welds, castings, and machined parts to maintain high-quality standards.
- Accurately interpret test results to determine compliance with technical specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and support production processes.
- Perform necessary setups, daily evaluations, and uphold process performance metrics.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in non-destructive testing, specifically in magnetic particle and liquid penetrant methods.
- Preferred ANST Level II certification.
- High School diploma or GED is mandatory; an Associate's degree is advantageous.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
