This position is integral to the Blue Origin Engines division, focusing on the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of propulsion systems and engines. In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to resolve issues related to non-conforming hardware during the production of flight engines. You will also be responsible for enhancing designs of rocket engine components and assemblies, facilitating our shift to a production environment. Your efforts will include driving improvements in design for manufacturability and updating assembly procedures based on findings from root cause analyses, engine manufacturing, testing, and cost reduction initiatives. You will detail and implement changes within CAD models and drawings, adhering to proper configuration management protocols. Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple technical challenges simultaneously. Shifts Available:

B shift: 3 pm - 1 am Mon - Thu

C shift: 5 am - 5 pm Fri - Sun

D shift: 5 pm - 5 am Fri - Sun

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in component design, fabrication, assembly, and production.
  • Experience in evaluating and resolving issues related to non-conforming hardware.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD and large assembly model management (preferably Creo Parametric and Windchill PLM).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T implementation and analysis (ASME Y14.5).
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to build trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and enhance our culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee or asylee.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in design, production, and assembly within fields such as propulsion, aerospace, automotive, naval, or heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials, treatments, and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with cryogenic fluids and oxygen compatibility.
  • Experience with production quality management systems.
  • Experience in transitioning products from development to production.
