About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Department Associate to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for receiving, rotating, and merchandising fresh and processed meats, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receives and unpacks meat, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses in the meat cooler and freezer.
  • Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department, including the meat cooler, freezer, and refrigerated display cases.
  • Ensures the meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases are fully stocked and rotated according to expiration dates.
  • Provides assistance to members by answering questions and making recommendations on food products.
  • Maintains all club policies and procedures, including safety and quality standards.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats is preferred.
  • Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines is a plus.
  • At least 18 years of age.
