LPN Job Responsibilities:
Provide bedside care to patients, including personal hygiene maintenance.
Record patients' vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate).
Collect health information from patients.
Facilitate communication between patients, registered nurses, and physicians.
Administer oral medications and injections to patients.
Conduct blood sugar level tests.
Perform urinary catheter insertion and care.
Manage wound care and dressing changes.
Assist patients with personal hygiene.
Monitor patients for changes in condition.
Ensure proper charting, documentation, and maintenance of medical records.
Seek clarification from the Registered Nurse when in doubt.
Act as a role model for ancillary personnel.
Maintain confidentiality of patients' clinical records.
LPN Qualifications:
Current LPN license in the state.
Up-to-date first aid and CPR certification.
Preferred: At least one year of experience as an LPN in a Long-Term Care setting.
