Probation Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Probation Officer to join our team at the Colorado Judicial Branch. As a Probation Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring public safety and providing support to individuals on probation.

• Conduct face-to-face appointments and interviews with clients to assess their needs and develop case plans.
• Document client-related activities, review client documents, and manage client e-files.
• Assess and prioritize critical incidents and potential risks in the field and office, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Collaborate with other judicial districts and states on victim-related concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
• Less than 1 year of experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, psychology, or a similar field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

This position requires the ability to work in a variety of environments, including offices and jails. The individual must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and be exposed to disagreeable conditions and hazards.
