Dog Handler

Central Bark Jacksonville is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Dog Handler. As a key member of our playgroup team, you will be responsible for the supervision, control, and management of daycare dogs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise playgroups, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all dogs.
• Interact with dogs using appropriate toys and tools to promote safe play and minimize stress levels.
• Monitor and control the level of play, following established procedures and instructions.
• Use proper dog handling techniques and praise/correction methods to maintain a positive and safe environment.
• Maintain accurate records of dog attendance, behavior, and any incidents that may occur.
• Participate in cleaning and maintenance duties, including scooping waste, mopping floors, and disinfecting play areas.
• Provide excellent customer service, greeting clients and their dogs, and answering any questions they may have.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Good oral communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Previous experience in animal care or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Self-motivated, independent worker with proven ability to follow instructions and learn new skills.
• Demonstrated flexibility and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
