Job Title: MRI Technologist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages to assist in the diagnosis of patient illness.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI diagnostic imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions according to department procedures and protocols
  • Locate and record internal elements of the body, and identify any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions
  • Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts
  • Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes
  • Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy
  • Review tests with peers and physician
  • Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested according to department procedures
  • Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers
  • Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation
  • Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, log data into patient information systems, and update file systems for tests performed
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and readjust equipment or write referrals for repair
  • Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures
  • Comply with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedure
  • Maintain technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs
  • Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administer contrast agents according to site-specific protocols
  • Maintain current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed
  • Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshooting problems. Call for service and notify all pertinent team members
  • Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Perform additional duties as required
Requirements:
  • Clinical Radiographer background with a minimum of 2 years MRI clinical experience required
  • Siemens equipment experience required
  • Valid ARRT license, registered in MRI
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal needed
  • Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous responsible, professional, and ethical manner
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative
