We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Procedural Technologist to join our team at Riverside Healthcare. As a leading provider of medical imaging services, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of medicine.

About the Role

The successful candidate will assist physicians with catheter and wire insertion/placement, set-up and maintenance of the sterile field, and operation of imaging systems in the Interventional Suites. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging principles and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Observe and maintain sterile field requirements and instrument/supply handling techniques
  • Competently select and operate radiographic equipment and/or associated accessories
  • Use collimation as appropriate and apply principles of radiation safety to minimize risk to patient, others, and self
  • Assist in hemodynamic monitoring and recording on current system
  • Prepare, identify, and/or administer contrast media according to protocol
  • Maintain archival storage (PACS/CPACS) of digital images as appropriate
  • Conduct post-procedural sheath removal and/or access site care
  • Respond to all unit and/or patient emergencies
  • Conduct staff, patient, and family education
  • Participate in quality assessment and improvement
  • Assist in patient admission process, post-procedural care, transportation of patients throughout the facility, and patient discharge
Requirements
  • Graduate of AMA and accredited program in medical imaging
  • Associates degree in radiologic sciences preferred
  • Preferred minimum 1 year work experience as a radiology technologist
  • Additional consideration given for interventional experience in cardiac catheterization, radiology special procedures, or neuroangiography
  • ARRT (RT) Required
  • IEMA required in Radiologic Technology within 6 months of hire
  • BLS required
  • ALCS required within 3 months of hire
