Job Overview

As a vital member of the Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) team, the NDT Material Handler plays an essential role in facilitating the movement of materials critical to our operations in sectors such as aerospace, maritime, and nuclear safety. Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and stage customer materials in designated areas to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing them against bills of lading, invoices, and purchase orders.
  • Inspect and unpack deliveries, reporting any damages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Utilize measuring tools, including tape measures and calipers, to ensure accuracy in material handling.
  • Deliver materials to appropriate departments, supporting operational efficiency.
  • Assist NDT technicians with inspections by measuring, marking, and verifying materials.
  • Prepare materials for shipment through banding, shrink wrapping, and packaging, including crate assembly as needed.
  • Collaborate with the shipping and receiving department to maintain an organized rack system.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the NDT areas, adhering to routine maintenance schedules.
  • Comply with LTI's Quality Assurance Program and all company policies.
  • Follow safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to obtain forklift operator certification.
  • Strong reading and interpretation skills for documents.
  • Capable of identifying damaged or missing materials.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
