We adhere to a 75-MILE STRAIGHT LINE RADIUS RULE (not driving distance) - NO LOCAL TRAVELERS - Please ensure candidates are aware of their submission to our facility.
Candidates should not contact the facility directly. This is a 13-week assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of current experience in Med/Surg/Tele or Progressive Care Unit; ICU experience is also preferred.
The ideal candidate must be a team player, adaptable, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment. A successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment is required.
This position may involve floating to other areas, primarily ICU, as necessary, but will only require performing skills within the scope of practice. The role may also involve assisting in the ED for admitted inpatients awaiting beds.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS must be obtained through recognized organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred.
SHIFTS:
12-hour varied positions. Shifts may vary to meet departmental staffing needs. On-call, weekends, and holidays may be required. Travelers will be the first to float within the facility and to alternate locations within a 20-mile radius of their assigned location. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed the same schedules or shifts.
ORIENTATION:
The first week of the contract will not exceed 40 total hours and will include EPIC training.
Travelers must not have been an employee of the system for 12 months from their last day worked to be considered for a travel position. State tax will be processed through your agency and reflected on your invoice, payable to the state of New Mexico.
Nursing Certifications: NIHSS
Contract Length: 13 weeks
The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
