Perioperative Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a PreOp PACU Nurse at SCA Health. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth transition from surgery to recovery.

• Assess patient's preoperative and postoperative status to identify potential risks and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement evidence-based practices to promote patient safety and comfort, including pain management and wound care.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
• Provide education to patients and families on postoperative care and recovery, including medication management and follow-up appointments.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current state licensure.
• One year of experience in preoperative or PACU nursing, with a focus on medical-surgical nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications, with PALS certification required for pediatric care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
