The Lead Systems Architect serves as a pivotal resource in supporting Impact Networking's Managed IT services. Acting as a primary support for our Managed IT field teams, the Lead Systems Architect demonstrates comprehensive knowledge across various solutions and possesses specialized expertise in the environments we cater to. This role involves assisting Field Engineers in deploying and troubleshooting solutions while adhering to established standards that promote security and scalability for our diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of Impact's diverse solutions to effectively address daily inquiries.
  • Champion one or more solutions, leading the team in expanding their understanding of that area.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities within the assigned solutions.
  • Maintain and update the knowledge base for the designated solution(s) to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Collaborate with the Managed IT Operations team to innovate new solutions and improve existing ones.
  • Work alongside the team to enhance solutions, ensuring optimal outcomes for the organization.
  • Provide support to MIT personnel by addressing queries, tracking issues, monitoring changes, and resolving or escalating challenges.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Managed IT support tickets that fall within the Core team's scope.
  • Foster relationships with vendor contacts that are advantageous to the organization.

Qualifications We Seek
  • Profound knowledge of software and technologies supported by Impact, including IT Glue, N-Able/N-Central, M365/O365, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco Duo, SentinelOne, KnowBe4, Huntress, Liongard, etc.
  • Strong foundation in hypervisor technologies, particularly VMware, with familiarity in Hyper-V.
  • Proficient in managing Windows server operating systems, encompassing installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in networking technologies, including firewalls, routing, switches, and related protocols.
  • Advanced understanding of security-first configurations to ensure robust network and system security.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Active Directory and Azure AD/Entra for effective user and resource management.
  • Exceptional skills in diagnosing complex technical issues to identify and resolve root causes efficiently.
  • Proven experience in configuring and managing virtualized environments for optimal performance and reliability.
  • Ability to assess network performance and implement enhancements for improved functionality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance.
