Gilead Sciences is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Intern to join our Oncology Development team. As a Research Intern, you will contribute to high-impact projects that advance our company's mission to create a healthier world for all people.
Key Responsibilities- Perform cell-based immunological assays, including flow cytometry and plate-based assays, to support drug discovery efforts in the Immuno-/Oncology group.
- Culturing and maintaining immortalized cell lines and primary human T cells.
- Performing advanced cell engineering (CRISPR KO, gene overexpression, and/or cell line generation).
- Establishing/validating in-vitro co-culture functional assay.
- Utilizing appropriate software to analyze data, prepare related reports, and maintain an electronic notebook.
- Interpreting and presenting data in group meetings.
- Showcasing your work with a final presentation (PPT) near the conclusion of your internship.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship now or in the future or CPT/OPT through your University.
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college and enrolled in the fall semester after the completion of the internship.
- Must be a Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in undergrad or a Graduate or Doctoral Student.
- Must be enrolled full-time in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship.
- Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August.
- Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship.
- Preferred Degree qualification: PhD graduate candidate (Graduate/PhD).
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Ability to identify issues and seek solutions.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
