Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Central Garden & Pet in Fort Dodge, IA. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, plumbing, and welding as needed
  • Record and document all work in CMMS software and Red Zone program
  • Use required PPE and LOTO Procedures
  • Comply with all FDA regulations for GMP's and job specific responsibilities to mitigate the risk of all known or reasonably foreseeable food safety hazards
Requirements:
  • 2 years experience in electrical
  • Education & electrical preferred
  • Experience with forklift, scissor lift, voltage meters, and hand power tools preferred
  • Ability to occasionally lift, and/or move 10lb up to 50lbs
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, handle or feel with hands and arms, kneel, crouch, talk or hear
