Overview:
Our esteemed client is seeking a skilled Imaging Equipment Technician to enhance their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will execute tasks with minimal oversight and will be accountable for servicing various imaging devices and systems, including dental x-ray, portable x-ray, ultrasound, x-ray film developers, computed radiography equipment, film printers, and C-arms. This role encompasses servicing multiple types of imaging systems, such as radiographic/fluoroscopic, chest x-ray, mammography, nuclear medicine, angio/cath, lithotripter, and direct radiographic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, isolate, and repair equipment malfunctions on clinical imaging and radiation therapy devices.
- Conduct safety and preventive maintenance inspections on clinical imaging and radiation therapy equipment to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
- Provide guidance to fellow technicians on preventive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques for clinical imaging equipment.
- Participate in special projects, including new equipment assessments, recalls, incident reporting, and assisting in the design of clinical equipment installation areas.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- AAS degree in Electronic or Instrumentation Technology with a focus on Biomedical Engineering Technology is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare environment or equivalent military training in the biomedical and imaging field is required.
- Basic computer proficiency is essential; advanced networking and system integration skills are advantageous.
- Ability to interpret schematics and mechanical diagrams is necessary.
- A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for servicing offsite locations are required.
