Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team at the Inn of the Mountain Gods. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing financial reporting and analysis to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Accounting and Financial Systems: Maintain and improve accounting and financial systems, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly budgets and forecasts, and provide financial analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, and identify and mitigate financial risks.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year of professional technical accounting experience, or 6 years of general ledger accounting experience.
  • Skills: Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Database applications, with the ability to quickly learn new applications and cross-train.
  • Personal Qualities: Proven record of dependability and performance, with strong communication and analytical skills.
