Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Design and deliver age-appropriate art classes that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Classroom Management: Ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment, promoting positive behavior and respect among participants.
- Lesson Planning: Create and implement lesson plans that develop confidence and self-expression, incorporating various teaching techniques and materials.
- Reporting and Administration: Complete and submit relevant reports, including supply requests, lesson plans, and timesheets, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Material Management: Maintain the proper care and organization of art materials, reporting any damage or misuse to the Art Director.
- Professional Development: Attend required department meetings and participate in professional development trainings to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Education and Experience: At least 2 years of relevant training, 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated leadership in an educational, social service, or youth development setting, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and Creativity: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, think creatively, and set structure and limits in a group setting.
- Technical Skills: Experience with multiple computer programs and software, including Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
- Certifications: First Aid and CPR certification desirable.
- Competitive Compensation: Salary range: $30.00 per hour.
