Job Title: Environmental Technician 2

Atlas Technical Consultants is seeking an experienced Environmental Technician 2 to join our Environmental Investigation and Remediation (EIR) Practice in Tampa, FL.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Technician 2 to provide field oversight services for drilling, soil and groundwater sampling, underground storage tank (UST) removals, private drinking water well surveys, and other environmental tasks. The successful candidate will work independently or as part of a project team, completing accurate and detailed field logs and diagrams, conducting environmental sampling and monitoring for various media and contaminants of concern, and promoting a safety-first culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide field oversight services for environmental tasks, including drilling, soil and groundwater sampling, and UST removals.
  • Work independently or as part of a project team to complete field tasks.
  • Complete accurate and detailed field logs and diagrams.
  • Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring for various media and contaminants of concern.
  • Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of work experience in environmental services, preferably in a field-related role.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred.
  • Good problem-solving and general scientific evaluation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple activities on an ongoing basis.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in one or more of the following states: FL, GA, AL.
  • Florida Department of Environmental Protection Petroleum Restoration Program experience preferred.
