About This Role:

This Low Voltage System Designer position is a critical component of our engineering team. As a key member, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems for our custom power and control products.

A Day In The Life:
  • Design and develop electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and control schematics for custom power and control products.
  • Perform branch circuits and feeder calculations on power distribution equipment, specifying and sizing components accordingly.
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, project management, and sales teams to drive continuous improvement opportunities.

You Will Thrive In This Role If:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or project environment.
  • Solid knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code).
  • Familiarity with low voltage power distribution systems, including design, building, and maintenance.
  • Ability to perform load calculations on machine and control panels per NEC and UL 508A.
  • Proficiency in Office-based software systems, computer-aided design (ACADE), and electrical test equipment.
  • Experience with QA/QC, Factory Acceptance Testing, and documentation preferred.
  • Solid skills in developing effective work relationships with production personnel, electrical technicians, and control panel builders.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret mechanical diagrams and schematics.
