Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our practice in Wentzville, MO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins.
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screenings, feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease, and assessing levels of recession; expose and develop radiographic studies.
• Arrest dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents.
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions, postoperative instructions, and reminders of the time for their next dental hygiene visit.
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs and medical and dental histories, and charting in patient records.
• Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.

Requirements:

• Highly skilled Dental Hygienist with experience in performing dental procedures.
• CPR certification and ability to maintain emergency supplies.
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health.

Compensation: $42-$50+/hr, with a sign-on bonus of $10,000. Estimated salary range based on location and experience.
