Structural Steel Estimator Job Description

Gpac is partnering with a well-established Construction company to find a skilled Structural Steel Estimator. Our client company specializes in heavy structural steel installation for the commercial construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review estimates for accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate and communicate with team members
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients
  • Manage and monitor project budgets and schedules
  • Monitor and review changes in project scope
  • Ensure all materials, labor, and equipment costs are accurately included in estimates
  • Prepare accurate material take-offs
  • Assist in developing and implementing cost-effective strategies

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the structural steel industry
  • Project experience on heavy steel construction over 5,000 tons
  • Knowledge of current AISC structural codes and standards
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
  • Ability to calculate costs and prepare estimates
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Benefits:

  • $100,000 - $140,000 base salary DOE
