Toolmaker

Placon Corporation is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for assisting in tool making processes, collaborating with experienced team members, and contributing to innovative projects.

• Assist in tool making processes, including CAD/CAM, CNC mills, milling machines, manual lathes, and drill presses.
• Collaborate with experienced team members to ensure high-quality work and efficient production.
• Contribute to innovative projects, applying problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

• Certificate in Machine Tool Operations or related field and 1 year of experience in manufacturing environment.
• Equivalent machine tool experience in tool fabrication, maintenance, or machine shop.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to meet training, safety, and quality requirements.
• Working knowledge of machine shop equipment, including CAD/CAM, CNC mills, milling machines, manual lathes, and drill presses.
• Ability to read blueprints and apply shop math to build tools.
