Our expected salary range for this position is $142,200 to $158,000, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a bonus and 401(k) plan.
Primary Purpose of PositionThis role performs advanced fuels-related problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations. The successful candidate will possess superior knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application, as well as recognized industry-level expertise in a technical area.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities- Perform advanced nuclear engineering and technical tasks in support of nuclear plant operations.
- Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects.
- Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement nuclear engineering activities related to plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability.
- Ensure compliance with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
- Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
- Manage nuclear engineering issues, including recommending new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify operations, reduce costs, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
- Support plant design modifications, testing, and problem-solving as necessary.
- Ensure all nuclear engineering products prepared or overseen are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate functional supervisory activities, including personnel, budgetary accountabilities, and planning goals.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer.
10+ years of engineering experience and exceptional performance.
Demonstrated solid or better results for at least 2 years and meets all Fuels IIIA and IIIB criteria.
Placement into this classification requires Nuclear Fuels Director, Director Human Resources, and VP Nuclear Fuels approval.
Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineering Registration, advanced technical degree, or coursework.
Nuclear Engineering Degree.
Holds Qualified Nuclear Engineering (QNE) or Sr. Reactor Operator Certifications/License.
