Chemist I

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced R&D Chemist to join our team at KDC One Knowlton. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for formulating new products, conducting laboratory testing, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Develop and formulate new cosmetic products, including hair care, personal care, and fragrance products
• Conduct laboratory testing and analysis to ensure product stability and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new product lines
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA and CTFA guidelines
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including product specifications and testing protocols
• Provide technical support and guidance to production teams

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Organic Chemistry, Chemistry, or Biochemistry
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in R&D chemistry formulation in consumer products, preferably in cosmetics or an FDA-regulated industry
• Strong technical foundation in formulated products, including emulsions, surfactants, suspensions, and structured liquids
• Excellent knowledge of product ingredient deck listing and labeling requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively
