Senior Roadway Inspector

RK&K is seeking a highly skilled Senior Roadway Inspector to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in the Northeast Florida area. This position is part of our Construction Management group, which oversees contractors on roadway construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, making, and checking engineering computations.
  • Assist the Project Administrator in daily roadway inspection and ensure contractor compliance alongside quality control.
  • Conduct inspections and testing as required, including earthwork, asphalt, concrete, bridge structures, lighting, pavement markings, signing, and signalization.
  • Provide general management, supervision, and instruction for the CEI Inspectors.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent plus four years of experience in roadway or bridge construction inspection, with two years in roadway construction inspection.
  • Hold relevant certifications, such as CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I and II, CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I and II, and CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I and II.
  • Prior experience in FDOT roadway and/or bridge construction inspection is preferred.
