Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the Plumbing Operations Lead oversees a skilled team of plumbers and semi-skilled assistants engaged in fulfilling plumbing tasks as outlined in the CSU Classification and Qualification Standards. This role not only involves performing plumbing duties but also includes providing leadership and direction to journey-level craftsmen and assistants, organizing job workflows, and managing material procurement for projects. While the majority of the role involves hands-on plumbing work, it also encompasses additional responsibilities related to leadership and project management.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a combination of training and experience that demonstrates journey-level plumbing skills equivalent to those acquired through a standard apprenticeship program.

- AND -

A minimum of one to two years of experience as a journey-level plumber with responsibilities in work coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference may be given to applicants with specialized skills, including:

  • Bilingual capabilities
  • Journeyman Certification
  • Five years of proven journey-level plumbing experience

Employment Details:

This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and a summer schedule of Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Salary Range:

The salary for this position ranges from $81,444 to $103,272 annually.

This role is eligible for benefits, including a tuition fee waiver for qualified employees.

Additional Information:

The individual in this position is designated as a "Limited Mandated Reporter" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and must adhere to the requirements outlined in CSU Executive Order 1083.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a background check as part of the hiring process. This position is classified as sensitive according to CSU guidelines, and the incumbent will be responsible for the security of confidential data.
