Job Summary
Operate a bus safely and efficiently, transporting passengers in a timely and courteous manner. Communicate effectively with passengers and work as a team member with fellow employees and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to work on time and work irregular hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Drive a vehicle in traffic continuously and safely, following a set schedule.
- Deal with the public effectively, being courteous, friendly, and helpful.
- Work as a cooperative team member and maintain a clean and safe bus environment.
- Complete a thorough Pre-Trip Inspection each day and adhere to company safety rules and guidelines.
- Hold a valid Commercial Driver's License and meet the company's safe driving record requirements.
- Pass a background investigation and maintain the necessary certifications, including VTT and Passenger Endorsement.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years old and have a safe driving record.
- Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and maintain a clean driving record.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and complete reports.
- Ability to sit for long periods and perform physical tasks, such as releasing a hand brake and assisting wheelchair passengers.
