Job Summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to support the pharmacy department in developing, coordinating, and maintaining our health plan's pharmacy program.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to provider and pharmacy calls regarding prior authorization and formulary process
  • Review pharmacy overrides in compliance with pharmaceutical company and state guidelines
  • Analyze cost and determine utilization patterns
  • Resolve complaints and grievances related to pharmacy network
  • Educate providers on health plan's pharmacy process
  • Collaborate with Quality Improvement department for meeting preparation and transcription of minutes
  • Assist members' inquiries related to formulary process

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 3+ years of pharmacy experience preferred
  • Medicare and/or Medicaid experience a plus
