Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Land Surveyor to join our team at FutureRecruit. As a Senior Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading our surveying team and overseeing the development of survey standards and workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Document Survey Standards: Create and maintain survey standards and workflow, including those related to remote sensing, 3D scanning, and UAV terrestrial photogrammetry.
  • Lead Surveying Team: Provide oversight and guidance to staff drafting and other office tasks, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Communication and Quality Control: Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills, adhering to company Quality Control procedures and ensuring thorough understanding of surveying techniques.
  • Technical Skills: Effectively use AutoCAD and Civil3D to produce survey maps from survey data with minimal oversight, and demonstrate strong project management skills, including scope, budget, and scheduling control.
  • Project Delivery: Manage in-house teams and coordinate with project consultants to meet quality deliverable expectations, and have experience with proposal preparation, RFPs, SOQs, and client meetings.
  • Software Proficiency: Assist in the development and decision-making process related to the use and workflow of Trimble Business Center and Trimble Access.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or related field.
  • Professional Registration: California professional registration.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven years of progressive experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and extensive experience with ALTA maps, Records of Survey, Legal Descriptions, Boundary Re-establishments, and topographic surveys.
  • Software Skills: Preferred but not required experience using Spectra Survey Pro Field Collector software, and Trimble Business Center software and related utilities.
  • Driver's License: Valid CA driver's license required.
