Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in geography courses.
- Assess student assignments, provide constructive feedback to enhance learning, and submit grades promptly.
- Update course materials to ensure relevance in pedagogy and content, adhering to the college's high standards.
- Develop innovative teaching strategies and adopt student-centered learning practices to improve educational outcomes.
- Clearly communicate student learning objectives, offer diverse learning activities linked to these objectives, and engage in both formative and summative assessments of student performance.
- Utilize assessment data to refine instructional methods and enhance student learning experiences.
- Commit to ongoing professional development to maintain instructional excellence in your area of expertise.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support the College's Mission Statement and commitment to Diversity.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration.
- Fulfill additional departmental, divisional, or institutional responsibilities as assigned by the Department Chair.
- Master's Degree in Geography or a Master's Degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the relevant discipline.
